🌱 Farming & Harvest

• Variety: Bhagwa – Export-grade variety with soft seeds and deep red arils
• Planting Time: Typically done in June–July (Monsoon) or Jan–Feb
• Harvest Time: 6–7 months after flowering
• Soil: Well-drained loamy or black cotton soil (pH 6.0–7.5)
• Climate: Semi-arid; warm temperatures ideal (25–35°C)
• Irrigation: Drip irrigation preferred for quality yield

• Grading Centers: Local pack houses in Solapur and Sangola
• Grades: Based on fruit size, weight, and skin quality
• Packaging: 3.5 kg or 5 kg corrugated boxes with foam nets or trays
• Labeling: Branded or neutral packaging, with export tag, batch, and barcode
• Protection: Fruit treated with food-safe wax and padding to avoid bruising

• Mode: Pre-cooled reefer trucks (optional), or ventilated covered trucks
• Route: From Solapur/Nashik → Mumbai Port via NH-65/NH-60 (~6–10 hours)
• Transit Care: Packed at 5–7°C to retain freshness during transport
